Can you lovely people please advise my friend on the following. He has been offered a sales rep position in Saudi for an international publishing company, and they are asking him his salary expectations. What should he ask for? He has been teaching for a few years and is currently on around SR16k/month.

it is really very low salary , iam saudi and i know that market , it is very low compare to living expenses

Does SR20k/month basic salary sound reasonable? Then 3 x Housing allowance etc and other usual benefits. As the job is sales, should commission be expected also?
