Have been told that for getting the visa for my family once I have got my residence in Kuwait I need the marriage certificate and children certificates attested by the Embassy of Kuwait in home country.
Question is: Do I also need my wife's birth certificate for the process of getting the family visa?
Many thanks for the help you guys can provide.

cant say anything, but i would recommend to have a copy of it and the original when you go to the embassy, just in case they ask for it you will be able to present it on spot and save time.

I only has a copy of my birth certificate when my husband applied for my residence and we didn't have any issues. I don't recall them even needing it but I'll double check!

Tinataitlyn, thank you so much. If you can check that it will be great.
Also thanks to ace117, it is true, sometimes it is better off to have the documents ready.

i would recommend every married couple to carry a copy of their marriage certificate these days either in their handbags or keep in cars.as the prostitution reports are high, which is illegal here and against the moral standards,so the cops at night patrolling or at checkpoint will ask for your evidence of relation.your civil id might be out dated,so could be your passport with employer,at home or other processes which will make unnecessary problems for them.

so i would highly recommend to have a copy to be on the safer side.

@megatrends: I doubled check with my hubby and it wasn't an issue for us and we were never asked for it but again like ace said it never hurts to just have it handy just in case. Rules like that seem to change daily here so it's always better to be prepared :)

No need for the birth certificate. Her age is already in the passport and her vaccinations .... well, I don't think any of us (grown ups) has been asked for them in any regular case.

speaking of the wife's birth certificate, my wife is finally here :P and i want to get started on the residency process for her ASAP; i hear that there are some mandoubs that offer to take the person around for the tests etc. for a nominal fee of 10KD, if anyone is aware of such persons offering this service, please let me know :)
