Hello All,
I am Ram from India, (10 Years of exp. in Telecom sector in India) got offer from Kuwait telecom organisation. I am in touch with respective HR continuously and have submitted attested copy of degree certificate along with its Arabic translation.
Can anyone here help me to understand...
1. How much time is required for Work Visa processing ?
2. What are other formalities once visa is received?
3. As this will be my first venture outside india, any valuable suggestions is welcome.
Thank You!
Hi Ram,
Normally it takes from a month to three months in getting your visa. After Visa has arrived, you should take PCC and medical and give them both with your visa for attestation. For attestation you can go to Akbar travels. They are reliable and don't cost much. For attestation it takes up to maximum 15 days. You can contact me through ***
Reason : Contact details should be shared through the private messaging system. Thank you
We invite you to read the forum code of conduct
Hi Sai, Our employer is telling only PCC + attestation in India. Medical test and attestation in UAE , meaning through UAE travel to kuwait with visit visas. 2 visas one for UAE and one for kuwait. Is this possible. Please anyone reply. Also how strict is the medical test in kuwait.

Dear Ramos,
Greetings. Please see my response to your questions as follows:
1. How much time is required for Work Visa processing ?
This really depends on the time of the year. For some people the visa got processed in 3 months. My own visa processing took 6 months (Interview and offer in April 2017, Paper Visa received in Oct 2017). It can take its own time, its not really in the hands of the Company you are joining. It really depends on the remaining quota they have for applying for work visas and processing time of visa by related Government bodies in Kuwait. Do not worry, it may be delayed but you will definitely get it eventually. The visa shall be valid until 3 months from the date of issue i.e. you will need to complete all formalities and enter Kuwait within the visa validity.
2. What are other formalities once visa is received?
Once the visa is received, your employer will send you the original by post. You shall require a PCC and you will require to undergo a medical test at Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt. Ltd. PCC is valid for 12 months therefore soon as your employer informs you that your visa is approved, please immediately apply for police clearance on the passport website. Please refer http://www.indiamike.com/india/for-citi … 233576/10/ for all information about PCC procedure in India. Secondly for medical test, you will need to go to Khadamat which has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Cochin. You are advised to seek online appointment as there are usually long queues at the Khadamat center, however it is not mandatory. At the Khadamat center, they shall take check your documents and will retain your paper visa original. You will need to pay INR 12k for the medical testing. They will refer you to a diagnostic center nearby who they are tied up with. You will need to carry the papers they give you to the diagnostic center where they will perform following tests:
a) Physical check up: Height, Weight, BP, Pulse, Visual skin inspection for abnormalities and medical history
b) Blood Tests: Hepatitis B, HIV, LFT & KFT, VDRL for syphilis, Malaria & Filaria (Total 5 blood samples)
c) Chest X-Ray: For checking any spotting on lungs, evidence of past TB
The medical tests are strictly to screen candidates carrying contagious diseases. Although I am told they reject without reason sometimes, I believe its quite rare. I have heard of a guy having microfilaria in his blood, they advised him medication and re-tested and cleared him. So, nothing to worry. The results take a day or two to be issued. If you are found medically fit, they will stamp your visa "FIT". The medical test is valid for 2 months from the date of issuance.
With your original PCC and Paper Visa stamped "FIT" in hand, please approach a travel agent. I used Fayeda Travels in Mumbai but there are many others who do the job. The fee for normal processing which takes 7 days is Rs. 12,000/- and the fee for fast track processing which takes 3 days is Rs. 16,000/-. If your travel agent quotes more, you should probably seek help from another agent. These are, in my knowledge, pretty standard fee structures. The Kuwait embassy shall stamp a one time entry visa on your passport and stamp to certify your paper visa as well as your PCC. Please retain all documents with you as they will be required for further processing here in Kuwait. Once your travel agent has done his job, ask your employer to send you the tickets to fly. You can enter Kuwait technically within the validity of your visa, but its advisable to fly atleast a week to 10 days in advance. Obviously your travel date shall require your employer's consent.
3. As this will be my first venture outside india, any valuable suggestions is welcome.
Once you arrive in Kuwait, the medical tests will be done here again. Medical tests are performed typically within the first week of your arrival. Your PCC will be retained by your employer here. Once you arrive, your employer will start the paper work for residency visa. Processing of residency visa takes about a month. Once your residency visa is processed, you will need to apply for a Civil ID which takes 2-10 days processing time.
Civil ID is the single most important document and acts as your identification here in Kuwait. You need to carry it with you at all times here. Only after getting Civil ID will you be able to apply for drivers license. You will come to know all of that once you land here.
Wish you all the best.

RaZieL
Hi Baburaj,
This is totally possible. I know one friend who had to do his medicals in Bahrain. He only got his PCC in India. You should check for details with your employer.
For details of medical tests done, please see my reply above to Ramos. Wish you all the best.

Great work raziel. I have got the offer letter from a company and waiting for paper visa. May I know what are the steps involved in Kuwait for taking a visa?
Hi Babu,
I think your employer is in a hurry to recruit you. That Means you are lucky , because for taking permanent work permit visa it is taking long. So now this is also an alternate method to get the visa with minimum paper work and also consumes lesser amount of time. All the best for your future endeavours.
Regards,
First I don't know if you arrived to Kuwait yet or not but if you did welcome to Kuwait.
I am in expat such as your self , for your answers
1. The process can be done within 2 max 3 weeks ( I know because we hired people from India and that how long to get one of our employee now )
2.most likely once you arrive they will require to do a medical so let the HR let someone be with you to finish all the process correctly
3. Read all the papers and the visa on your passport and contract...etc to ensure you are getting the salary you are promised and the correct visa type
Your question is not clear I'm sorry. Do you want to know about the process of getting your residency visa done after your arrival to Kuwait? If you're an Indian national, you'll need to get your degree certificate attested by Notary, State government's home department, Ministry of External Affairs and Kuwait Embassy and send the original certified degree certificate to your employer for them to process your paper visa. Trust you're aware of this. I've explained what you should do once your paper visa arrives from Kuwait in a previous post. Feel free to ask further questions. Wish you all the best. Cheers!
hello Razeil
Can you help me with the details after receiving job offer. I am from Bhutan. procedure may be different in my country. so I need help.
niks
Hi RaZiel,
You are saying that we need to get the degree certificate attested by State government's home department, Ministry of External Affairs and Kuwait Embassy and send the original certified degree certificate to the employer for them to process the paper visa.
The employer in Kuwait did not tell me that !
they took a scanned copy of the degree certificate and they are working on the VISA process.
They asked to attest my degree certificate later on after I get the VISA, and take the attested certificate with the Police Clearance and Medical Check to the embassy.
Is this alright ? or is there a contradiction ?
Thanking you in advance
Hi Ram good day .work visa will take based on your company process most probably it will take 2 months.
Once you got visa need to get medical certificate from Kadhamat.
After medical you need to get PCC from any near passport office.
Once PCC completed you need to send PCC,visa, passport, medical certificate for attestation PCC and endosment for passport.
Once you get passport and PCC you can fly to kuwait.

Hi, ram
Have you got your work visa ?
Hello can you tell how long it's take for Indian Kuwait visa I have done my pre medical and PCC in 1st of April still ok am waiting for visa.
Mr. Ashraf, I understand from recent posts and other blogs that Kuwait work visa processing is taking much time now (roughly around 2 to 3 months). It also depends on the company credentials, quota and influence in their country. When did your company apply your Visa?
Thanks For your reply. As per my consultancy they told me they have applied on 2nd week of April. The name of company Jicon international Korean company. When I call my consultancy they always tell me wait once I it's come we will call you.
Probably you may get your Visa by end of next month, considering Ramadan working hours in Kuwait.
Mr. Agnivesh how long it takes to get NOC from ministry of interior, thanks.
It will take around 1 month , if your company have connections it will take less time.
Follow up with your company representative.
Okay thank you.
