Hi
I would like to buy a car, but I don't know if it's better to have an automatic or a manual.
which kind of car is easier to sell after use ?

What is you opinion about that ?

Thanks !!!!

Automatic transmisson (no brainer)!!! The inter-city traffic is always rushy and having a manual car will be a real pain.

The best brand that offers an insant and good resell value is Toyota.

Choosing automatic or manual would depend on your type of driving. If you plan on getting a 4x4 for example I'd suggest a manual because those are fun offroad. If you don't plan to do any offroading and just getting from one place to another then an automatic would be easier. Plus a manual can be hard during rush hour times (which on somedays seem like the whole day). I personally prefer a manual for a lot of reasons.
If you simply want to get from one place to another easily, and you want a car that has an excellent resale price I'd recommend a Honda. Toyota and Honda are both excellent choices to have here, but Honda has better service at the dealership and it's price rate doesn't go down so fast, which is a better resale value.

Thanks a lot for your help.

What is mostly used in riyadh ?
What is easier to resale ?  an automatic or a manual ?

i guess it seems like manual would be harder to sell.. shifting the gears incorrectly damages the engine and will result in a car with more wear and tear..

go for automatic if u intend on smooth driving, in traffic and not offroad

you need to care more about the AC rather than the gear, also vote for Automatic :)

go for a camry automatic transmission one. you will get good resale value and will be a lot easier to sell also.

My 2 cents since I have been in Riyadh for about 8 days now :P

Well I don't know how can you say Honda because I rarely see one. Most I see are American cars like GMC, Chevrolet, Ford or Hyundai. And then Toyota comes. Or may be Toyota is neck to neck with Hyundai.

An Automatic is the best choice for city driving. Manual are a pain nowadays. And as far as i have experience in dealing used cars, manual cars are now not getting the attention from buyers of someone sells one. So automatics are best buys.

Regarding resale values, its observed that those cars which are more bought and sold and are recommended by most people , gets a higher demand. For example a Mazda 6 might not get a good buyer than a camry or accord. Civics are not so valued as accord. So even in one make there are models which have a higher resale value than others. Rav4 doesnt have the resale power as a Fortuner does.

All these are however examples, i have seen low valued cars being sold for a higher than market value just because they are in mint condition and the buyer wants to buy that specific car.

Rest is upto you as to what you prefer.
