one of my friend did iqama transfer from his fathers iqama to a company sponsorship as telecom engineer about more than 6 months ago. now he wanted to change his sponsorship to another company because of some better pay package but his transfer got rejected from the concerned dept because they say u must have to spent 2 years with same first company before getting transfer. is that still a rule? becoz i guess no more such requirements exist anymore.. one of my friend says that one year obligation is still there. so there is a lot of ambiguity in it.. does any body know any official rule about this?!??

I think 2 year rule is only for first employer. All future transfers require only three months with the employer before you can do it again. However, it depends on the officer at labor office, he can still refuse it if he decides to do so.

now if thats the case then i am not sure a person doing transfer from his father comes in first employer category or 2nd (as he already did one transfer from his father's iqama)
