Enforcing Court ruling

I paid security deposit to purchase a property.  The seller could not sell me the property due to xyz reasons and when i demanded a return of the deposit,  he literally said 'make me'. I took him to court.  The court ruled in my favour.  He appealed against the verdict.  The court rejected the appeal.  My lawyer checked his financial record and found that he has two properties, but both under banks name.  The lawyer said that they will 'keep an eye on him' . That's it.  How am i supposed to actually get my money.  It seems the seller has transferred his wealth in his wife's and children's name.  He has travel ban. He is Bahraini.  I'm just concerned about not getting back my deposit even though the court has twice ruled in my favour.  Is there no way to get money?  If this is the case,  what is preventing the seller to do the exact same thing with another buyer?  How can i put him in jail?  That is the only threat which will force him to pay up.  He runs a real estate agency for crying out loud ! Can anyone advise the way forward.

What real state agency?

XTC XBOX

@hakkab if i wanted to disclose that,  i would had already.  The name of agency is not important.  Just be careful with giving away deposit to anyone

hakkab

The deposit is required at the time of booking. You just have to find trusted real estate.

I hope someone can help you here. On the other hand, you can help others not to be scammed by the same person. I hope for a good outcome for you

@hakkab very brazen of you to ask such question in a public forum. one cannot state such names publicly.

@xtcxbox  i am sorry for the situation you are in.

was there no option for you to use an escrow or a reputed lawyer as middlemen ?   alas i cannot offer any inisght on this matter.  some of the more experienced members like @xtang can maybe offer some insight here.  hope it works out for you

@leh95 thanks for your words.  I'll wait for someone to give me a solution to this matter.  It had been four five months now without any action on the court verdict.  Otherwise,  ill try to find another lawyer.  The problem is that ive already gone through this "finding a lawyer" route when i first wanted to lodge a complaint.  That first experience was costly and hectic, until i found this one who got the job done, but has now seemingly given up

XTang

Did you approach execution court for enforcement of orders?   That court can seize bank accounts or attach property.   But if he has nothing, then it really won't go anywhere.  They don't jail for civil matters such as this.  You can try with another lawyer.

@XTang thanks for your input.  I agree that before giving up,i should at least try with another lawyer.
