Rent a flat or a house in Riyadh

Finding a place to live is a priority when settling in Riyadh. Your experience will be of a great help for the members who want to settle in Riyadh.

Therefore, we have prepared some questions for you:

Is it hard to find a flat or a house for rent in Riyadh?

How to find a home in Riyadh: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?

How much is the rental for a house, an apartment?

What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation?

Which advice would you give?

Thanks in advance for participating!

More info needed - single or family, M/Female, job, salary, housing allowance etc please. Western families would mostly go for a compound environment. Housing allowance (if offered) usually 3 mos salary pa . 1 bed unit in a compound starts ~SAR50k/pa, 2+ 100k/pa. Private renting can be done, but not easy. Rent is paid 6mos in advance, renter is responsible for EVERYTHING!

1- it's not hard to find a house for rent in Riyadh
2- It depends on the amount you want to pay. So, you can deceide which area you will live. and you will know the amount of it.

3- usually, they just ask for the company letter . They will ask you the letter when you are just with family. (You and your husband.)

- Advise: I advise you to see your budget, then you can deciede where you can stay.

There are hundreds of rental place in Riyadh or anywhere in Saudi Arabia. Some goes goes by word of mouth but some tries ads placement like expatriate.com just choose which country cuz it's a bit general. It's always IQAMA is what they require. In renting places you may choose a place that is very accessible [that is from hailing a cab up to resto].
