If she "took" your assets.i.e.  money to Baranquilla it is going to be a long drawn out process getting anything back..if ever. Many years. Like most Colombianas of that type  she will have spent it all in the first few weeks. Also 90% of Colombian lawyers are crooks and cant be trusted.

Best just forget about it and call it a " lesson learned"


A rule to follow is NEVER let any women , even the mother of your children ,have acess to money or assets you arent prepared to lose outright.

If it is a lot of money and you really want it back and you are out of Colombia permanently, it is best to hire a Sicario to scare her a bit. Maybe just hang her by her feet for 5 minutes . They will send you a video.Much cheaper and faster than a lawyer

In all seriousness good luck on finding an honest lawyers in Colombia. I only found 2 and only one I would trust in a situation like your and he is in Cali.

What you are saying is incorrect.

1.In Colombia , the US, Canadá and Europe it is 50% of the amount of acumulation of assets during the period of marriage.

2. If his assets are in the US or elsewhere outside of Colombia and she never plans  or has the means to go back to the US or wherever he has his assets and tries to pursue them ( a very expensive and complicated proposition for her) he is far far safer than any prenuptial could provide and his only loss will be the assets she absconded with.
