Tim as I have pointed out before you need to go to the top of the page to look for rental properties you might like. The forum is for questions about living in Mexico not for the members to finding property or rentals for new members . Thats why there is a separate section at the top of the page for the classifieds, housing, businesses etc.

If you know the area you'd like to live, what I would do, is go on facebook and see if there is an expat page of people who live there. For example I live in Huatulco. On Facebook there is Huatulco What's Up Happening, there is Bahias Huatulco, Gringos Huatulco. I came here stayed in airbnb and looked once I was here. i posted on the facebook pages and got many offers from agents but within a couple of weeks found a place through word of mouth from folks I met here.  Hope you find something wonderful but you may not find the "perfect" place the first time. I also looked on Market Place part of facebook.
