In light of the current situation in the United Arab Emirates, we are sharing important information from the UK government for its nationals:


Following reported missile attacks, British nationals in the UAE should immediately shelter in place:


Stay indoors in a secure location.


Avoid all travel.


Follow instructions from local authorities.


The UK government has asked all British nationals in the UAE to register their presence to receive updates. If you are unable to use the online form, you can contact them directly at +44 20 7008 5000.

I have received the same information from the Dubai authorities. However, the manager at Marina Hotel Apartments informed us that hotels in Dubai have not received any directive from the General Civil Aviation Authority or the tourism authorities regarding this policy.


This leaves us unclear as to whether there has been a misunderstanding in communication from the authorities, or whether some hotels have not yet been formally instructed on how to implement the policy.
