LUNG SCAR 2019 RESOLVED--2021 ANOTHER SCARE, SWITCHING TO NEW COMPANY
Way back January 2019, I have posted here regarding a lung scar that DHA found during my xray (this is my second job in the UAE, at the time, i have been cancelled 4 months ago by the old company).
(Flashback 2016 on my first job here: in Abu Dhabi, Seha didnt say anything about the scar, they just issued fit certificate and i got my first job amd residency in Abu Dhabi).
Then come 2019, my second job, Dubai company, after the medical, I was called for follow up in Al Muhaisna, had a short doctor interview (do i have history of TB, pneumonia etc, all i answered none). Then 2 days later they released the medical which was Fit--conditional, good for 1 year. I was required to go back every 6 months for follow up xray. I completed all follow ups, after the 2nd one (January 2020) they stamped the follow up paper clear and said finished, no more follow ups. Since then, i have had 1 visa renewal of 1 year, and later another visa renewal of 2 years. On the same Dubai company. All was ok.
Now 2021, I have left this Dubai company and my visa with them was cancelled October 2021. I am now moving to a new Sharja Freezone company. We did visa and medical processing and after medical, i received sms that I am required for medical follow up in Al Muhaisnah. I know that they've seen the scar. So when I came back for doctor interview, I brought all my docs and follow up papers from 2019. Doctor said they've seen a scar. I said "yes, this is the same way back 2019, I was asked to come back for follow ups 2019 to 2020, and I completed them all. Would you like to have a look at the follow up papers, I brought them with me". Doctor said no need, my records are in her computer. I was asked to do sputum test for 3 days. Thursday, Sunday, Monday.
While being guided to the lab for the test, I asked the nurse "Why there is need now for sputum test? Way back 2019 only x-ray follow ups". Nurse said "They want to check if you have any infection in your lungs.
I proceeded and did my 1st sputum test. They also did another blood test on me.
My second and third sputum test will be on Nov 7 and 8.
Now I'm anxious.
Questions on my mind:
1. Has anyone been on the same situation, where they've seen the scar and accepted years back, and now they've seen it again and doing extra tests that wasnt done before? What does that mean

2. If my sputum were all negative, will that be ok for them to give me visa?
3. If my sputum became positive (though i have no known history of ptb, what if, maybe), will they treat me and give visa or will they deport me?

4. I keep reading that if you are an old visa holder (in my case I was with Dubai company, cancelled last October, switching to Sharjah Freezone company), will they accept me and give visa?
5. My visa applied is for 3 years (i own the freezone company, but I put general manager, not investor. Because i need the employment contract to sponsor my family to come here from Philippines) in the event they grant me visa, will they allow me 3 years? Or it will be again 1 year conditional? But of course at this situation any residence visa will be ok for me

Im so anxious and worried. I still have until Monday to do sputum and will still have to wait for results. If there is anyone facing similar situation please comment your thoughts.
Dear Xtang, i will really appreciate your advice/knowledge. Many many thanks to all of you. Hoping to read comments from you.

Today is the 3rd sputum test day. Im just about to reach Al Muhaisnah now. After this test I will try to speak with the doctor to ask for what to expect/results. But I assume they will say they will email the results. I will update later further.
Still a few more days of waiting then. I really hope it will be alright.

I got the results today and it is fit-follow up, fit for one year. (I think they will ask me to come back for xray every 6 months, same like what they did back in 2019)
I wanted 3yrs visa but i am ok with 1 year, so much better than unfit and deportation.
I am so relieved now. It was literally pure mental torture from last week. Thinking of the results.
I wish others in same situation will also be getting fit, it was such pure happiness when i saw the certificate on the email.
Will now proceed to my eid and visa stamping.
Take care everyone
Yes on the renewal of same Dubai company, they will only do blood test
They actually gave me 3 years visa. I was surprised when I saw my passport stamp
Yes in Dubai this is the case. As long as you stay in same Dubai company they only check for blood.
Just want to ask in 2019, that was your first DUBAI visa right?
Yes 2016 - I got hired and had visa under Abu Dhabi company (no medical issues, nothing)
2019- Had visa (they saw the scar, was approved after some medical struggles) under Dubai company
Now 2021 - Has visa (again after the never ending medical struggles!) under Sharjah company
I did the usual required medical: x ray and blood test. They saw the lung scar and asked me to do 3-day sputum test. Then they gave me Fit-Follow up certificate. (My first Follow up is on May 2022)
I know for sure that if you are under Dubai visa and you are renewing under the very same company, Dubai visa, your renewal will only need blood test. No need xray
For other emirates renewing under same company and same emirate, I dont know if it is blood only also, or blood + xray.
Maybe somebody on the thread knows? Anyone who is under Abu Dhabi or Sharjah visa? What medicals do you do when renewing your visa?
im housewife under my husband visa,.
15 years ago im cured with TB so i have TB scar back in my home country,
we are transferring visa from abu dhabi to dubai,.
before in abu dhabi i got fit result but need to go every 6 months for followup,.
we will cancel visa now to change to dubai visa,.
