How can I get a FAB bank statement after leaving the UAE?

Title: Need help getting a First Abu Dhabi Bank statement after leaving the UAE

Hi everyone, I hope someone here might have some advice. I worked in Dubai for about three years and during that time my salary account was with First Abu Dhabi Bank. I left the UAE last year after my contract ended and moved back to my home country.

Right now I am applying for a new job abroad and part of the paperwork requires a bank statement from my previous account to show salary history. The issue I am facing is that I cannot figure out how to get a proper statement from FAB now that I am no longer living in the UAE. When I tried to access the mobile banking app it asked for verification through my old UAE phone number which I no longer have.

I also checked the bank website but it seems most options require logging into online banking first. I am not sure if there is a way to request the statement by email or if it can only be done from inside the UAE.

Since a lot of people here have worked in the UAE before moving elsewhere I thought someone might have dealt with this situation. If anyone has managed to obtain a FAB bank statement after leaving the country I would really appreciate hearing how you did it. And also share any reliable way to check my FAB bank credit card balance....

This is a fairly common situation for UAE expats and there are a few ways to handle it without being physically present.

The most reliable option is to email FAB directly at help@bankfab.com with your full name, Emirates ID number, account number, and a copy of your passport. Request a salary statement for specific months and specify the format you need. They do process these requests internationally but it can take 5 to 10 working days.

If the email route is slow, calling 600 52 5500 from abroad also works. The international line connects to the same customer care team and they can either email the statement directly or arrange a courier for certified copies.

For the mobile app verification issue, explain the situation when you call and ask them to update your registered number to your current international number. Once updated you can log back into the app and download statements yourself instantly.

For your credit card balance, the same customer care number handles that through the automated system as well.
