short visit visa for non-EU parents

I hear about lot of rejections for visitor visa for non-EU applicaiton. I (EU national) planning to invite non-EU parents to visit us. Is there a different procedure for this which can guarantee a visa to non-EU parents? or its same difficulty inviting as a non-EU person from Belgium?

Note: Family reunion visa not applicable for them (they have another child living in their living country)

Hello manoras

@Kiki27, Hi

Family visit visa is a though one to be granted.

The family member must provide documents and they have to convince the Belgium authority that they have a sure reason to go back home after their visit.

The easiest way is still a tourist visa. They have to proove that they have enough financial resources to make their journey to Belgium.

@Kwannius thanks for your response. Is there any self declaration (with Notary/court papers) which can be strong on top of the financial means?
