Note: beware Banco Popular as of April 26th increased and changed thier fees structures.

Today I used my American Debit Card to withdraw PESO as I have done for years.

I always select "without conversion" so my US Bank does the conversion which is a better rate.

Without looking the ATM Machine now only gives you "Cash Advance" not "Withdraw" option for foreign Debit Card or CC.

I was normally charged 395 PESO fee now they are charging 4.5 % cash advance fee and not the normal fee for a Dominican Card.

So I was shocked when I withdrew 20k PESO and charged $14.98 dollars ATM withdraw fee.

Fortunately, my US bank refunds all ATM withdraw fees worldwide within 2 days.

Thought I share and not sure about other DR banks ATM fee Withdraw rate. This was only Banco Popular today.

I called my Bank Officer and he said yes they made changes and increased various bank fees.

Fedility Investment Banking USA , "cash account " refunds all ATM fees and NO wire transfer fees nationwide and international This has been my bank for 13 years.
