Normally any DR bank or Caribbean Express gives a very good rate. Don't know if in LT thou

I use this website.  It lists all of the banks, but not Santa Cruz for some reason.  I believe Caribe Express or Western Union may offer better rates, but it would depend on how much you're converting and how far away they are to make it worthwhile.

Western Union!  And when I change 1,000 usd plus I ask to give me a little better rate and they do!

I find the banks ( my bank ) usually give 3 points under the going rate, the airport is the worst place to change money , I usually go to one of the many outposts they have through town …. Last time I went I got 60.5 pesos per dollar ,

the bank was offering 57  per dollar…… it doesn’t seem like a lot except if your changing large amounts…….good luck

I'm  sorry -- in saying, "one of the many outposts they have through town" were you referring to Western Uniion?

@ExpatRusher

No , but they usually give a good -to top rate I only use them for sending money into the country  , their(  western union) are usually in supermarkets and the outpost are usually little  store fronts  so I can park right in front and in and out quickly

Never go close to the 15 or end of month, they are usually swamped!
