Best dating site to meet a good lady?
Well said Glongshore and so true not all are tarred with the same brush, simply be alert for the red flags and the ability to say NO.
My better half is well educated and from time to time tries things on and he learnt the word no long ago.
Many of our friends are lowly educated and live very sad existences but some of the most genuine and honest people and we are happy no know them.
I think it simply comes back to, as I said earlier that you need to think with the right head and don't let infatuation nor lust come into the equation. We have all been there in our home countries, here is little different.
Cheers, Steve.
GLongShore,
True not all are bad. No problem is she had kids, just hope she never was married or separated because of the ex can cause problems according to laws there.
Glad you found a good lady.
My lady is from the province. I got lucky too.
Congratulations
@Glongshore
Well good for you, i am sincerely happy for you and I wish both you and your partner a long life of blissful moments together.
I am in no way exercising any judgement (not by intent anyway), but after these past 4 years that My ex and I have seperated, i have met many woman and courted a good handful of them. They have all been of various social and professional extremes; from being an unemployed single 22 year old mom, to a 37 year-old Dr. who runs her own clinic in Makati, and many different types in between.
You would be surprised which of those 2 woman for example i was more happier with just for the spent time together
And no, of course not all girls are scammers or have any intention to rip you off of your finances (and integrity)
I just wanted to lend my opinion that in terms of what one would be looking for, for it would be best to have some metrics in mind (or some sort of baseline to quantify your needs) to save you from disappointment and otherwise wasted efforts on pursuing the wrong girls proven to be not worth a man's while.

Not referring to Mr. Watson:
If future Expats were suffering from ED that was incurable those future Expats coming to the Philippines would be reduced to a dribble.
The success of a relationship is determined by the Expats motivation and character for coming to the Philippines.
Character flaws can not reasonably hold up over time.
I used cupid philippino and found a decent attractive highly intelligent philippina. we chatted for two and a half years on skype and i fell deeply in love. I thought i knew her inside and out but when I came over to the philippines I found she was incapable of showing affection, my sole reason for coming here. she was extremley upset when I pulled the plug on our relationship. I then went to alternative B which was dumaguette I went to a bnb booked in advance and concentrated on showing that I was a decent person. I think the staff at any bnb if they think you are ok will almost certainly introduce you to a relative they think you will like. it’s then up to you to use your own judgement. I was fortunate and have found a wonderful lady i have lived with for nearly a year and will be marrying soon. my first ladyfriend told me , for most philippinas marrying a foreigner is like winning the lottery, marrying an old foreigner is like winning it twice. you are so highly prized over here. Come over on holiday and see for yourself before you commit yourself.
I think it is probably best for anybody who intends to use a dating site to meet a Filipina to start looking close to retirement age (maybe no more than 2 years away). I met a good, honest, hard working and loving woman on Facebook, went to see her in the Philippines and had a fantastic time (She is definitely a keeper), problem is I am still nearly 5 years from retirement age. Going back to a long distance relationship after meeting is much harder than I imagined and certainly much harder than before we met in person. I met her family while there also and stayed at her house for a week or so.
I would think that sustaining a healthy LDR relationship for our American friends after meeting their Filipina would be even harder since my understanding is that the holiday entitlement in the US is not very good compared to in Europe.
I used FilipinsCuoid also, over six years ago.myself.
I chatted with quite a few Filipinas. Some would stop and I would weed some out until I finally found one I clicked with.
Then we both agreed to stop using the dating site.
Still going strong
The Filipina Pea vlogger on YouTube a pro expat adviser makes it clear if use a dating site. Be wary. Never ever send money. Best to come to the Philippines for a month or more. Will not have trouble meeting Filipinas and to be fair it takes more then a month of course. Some might not like the tropical climate, crowded roads, noisy dogs and roosters. Things are not efficient enough like back in the west how fast you can shop for foods or deal with the slow government dealings in getting papers or what not. If you don't have the patience then you won't last long here.
I've seen websites for sexpats in which countries to visit and some YouTube videos. Don't come to the Philippines and hurt the honest good Filipinas.
Some members on this forum do meet & greet on each visit but really the visit is for Wam Bam thank you Mam, numerous times.
Then they give advise on how to find a nice Filipina.
LOL Bob, not heard that expression for a very long time. If you want that only why not save your airfares and hotel accom and visit the local knock shop in your home country?
Sure we all look but what are we looking for? For me was long term and weeded through the crap until we found each other, 13 years on we still have our moments but know who we love and want to be with.
Dating sites can work but you have to be vigilant and use the right head.
Cheers, Steve.

And there goes the problem with dating site rubbish.
Scammers smell the fool and hunt them out.

Just keep your wits about you, if something seems too good to be true you can bet that it is. That holds true for everywhere, not just the Philippines. Also remember that for many women, love may be a beautiful thing but it doesn't pay the bills.
My single Friends use Pina Love, Christian Filipina with decent results. Filipino Cupid also seems to be popular.

Exactly. I got on FilipinoCupid and was inundated immediately with offers from lots of young Filipino women. I prefer being the one doing the seeking, so ignored almost all of them. Found one who's profile looked genuine as she was very blunt in what she was looking for. She tick'd most of my boxes as well ... not too young (48), one adult child, owns her own house outright, owns her own business, very good on the eyes, etc. Video chatted for a year before meeting in person, and couldn't be more pleased. There are genuine women on those sites, but it takes a LOT of filtering and common sense.
Good strategy, I saw a You Tube vid once saying when you join a dating site, to ignore all messages and reactions for the first week because the scammers look for newbies
@bkksaigon
To be honest with you . Most dating apps are basically a waste. Find the area you wish to visit . Be sociable and meet people. I was involved with a Filipina. I spent much time there. I had women almost lining up
Be sure to watch for warning signs of a scammer . There are a great many women who will take you to the cleaners . However there is a greater number of sincere women. Be sure to meet the family and friends . DO NOT be too quick to be generous. Pay careful attention to her actions and reactions
A good Filipina is always willing to be 100% devoted to her partner . She will ask very little of you . She will treat you as her loving king as long as she gets the love and respect she deserves
Wishing you much success
