That's very nice Mood Dog, why leave it? Just curious. I am here until I am scattered in the ocean.

Good luck.

Cheers, Steve.

MoonDog, it's incredible what you and your lady (and family) have achieved in such a relatively short time.

Your property looks to be stunning. Obviously well constructed to begin with, you've thoughtfully and comprehensively developed your property into a truly lovely Philippines home.

You and your family have created an especially comfortable, and, certainly an attractive and desirable, well-maintained property.

We wish you well with your new home adventure. With your expat experiences, your stunning achievements, and your sensible advice and comments, I'm sure we all hope you hang around this Forum for many years to come Moon Dog.

You have much to impart to Philippines expats.

Cheers matey, Col Rootentoot and PalaOne

That is a gorgeous home, Moondog, and appreciate the help you gave to many of us here with our own projects. I do understand your sentiments however as stated elsewhere.

Best of luck on the new phase of your life in WV.

Did you hear all the motorbikes with no mufflers when I was by the front gate? The property was a lot more isolated in 2009 when we bought it but now the population explosion and lack of respect for neighbors has pretty much ruined it. Besides, I wanted to have a check up which I did with good results and I needed a bunch of apostilled documents for adoption that would have been difficult to obtain in the Philippines but was a breeze here. They asked for things like my ex-wife's death certificate?

Right now I'm enjoying the quiet solitude of the West Virginia mountains and playing in the snow.

Yes Moon Dog I did hear the traffic though not much and your house seems to be well off the road, probably lucky here as we are on a dead end street and really only see the mayors cars coming on weekends. How are the family enjoying the snow and colder weather?

Good luck for your future.

Cheers, Steve.

Jovy and RD are still in the Philippines working on the adoption. When it is complete and RD has the necessary clearances to travel they will join me here.

From seeing weather forcast, Frosty will get a lot bigger this week. Since you have snow, I am guessing you're up in WV sandwiched between OH and PA.

I was a North Carolinian, but I always envied the people who could live in beautiful West by God Virginia. Beautiful home!

I'm in Greenbrier county in the town of Rainelle which is in the south eastern area of the state. My wife picked out the house. We looked in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and other states for a house and town that suited both of us. Ironically this house is 17 miles by GPS from where I was born.
