Is there a maximum age limitation to secure a working visa in Dakar, Senegal (West Africa)

I have been invited to join an international school on Dakar as and Administrator of the school. I have two advanced degrees and over 40 years of teaching and school administration experience and would like to go with my wife. A contract got 2 years is being offered with renewal rights.

I was scheduled to go to work in Dakar on a construction project as part of the Senior Management team but was told at the last minute that the governement did not allow any foreigner over the age of 58 to work in this country. Was never able to confirm if this was in fact true - does anyone know the truth about this restriction??? Thanks
