Survey: Estimated 49% of all expats have been vaccinated against the COVID-19

During the month of  June, more than 3000 expats took part in an Expat.com survey on vaccination. Of the 3000 expats surveyed, 49% said that they had already been vaccinated against the COVID-19 while 26% said they intended to get vaccinated in the future.

Globally, an estimated 49% of expats said they had been vaccinated against the COVID-19 and 26% said they intended to get vaccinated. Of the expats who participated in the survey, most were from France (29%), the UK (7.5%) and the US (7.4%) and lived all over the world, and particularly in Spain, Thailand, France, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. The majority of respondents who did get vaccinated explained having received their shot in their host country(84%) and the rest had to either fly to their home country or a third country to receive their vaccine.

Most of the expats who did get the vaccine got the Pfizer-BioNTech shot (41%) followed by the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot (27%) and others mostly got Moderna, Janssen, Sinopharm or Sinovac.

What a heap of gullible sheeple. So eager to get an experimental drug injected which only has an emergency approval. I never thought it would be that easy to manipulate and brainwash people so they will voluntarily and willingly be subjected to this sick experiment. And for all those that believe it is to protect the others. It's general knowledge now that the vaccine will not prevent getting sick with Covid , 19 and you can still infect others after having received the full vaccination. So might some of the bright lights here enlighten me why I should volunteer to be a guinea pig.

Please, I am Brazilian. We live in Kumasi but my we will move to Accra in end july.

Can anyone tell me about COVID vaccination for 18 year olds? Do we need to wait for the call from the Ghana Government or can we pay for the vaccine?

Not here in Angeles City. Don't know one Aussie expat that has had a jab, in fact I haven't been surveyed by the LGU as whether I want it, which I do. Surely it's is the Australian govts job to ensure its citizens get vaccinated, not leaving it in the hands of local government. I fear it will be a very long time before an Australian will be vaccinated here in Angeles, most of us will have expired from old age first.

That must be a lie! Expats aren't that stupid to get vaccinated. We cannot trust our governments nor medical science these days.

That’s excellent! As a Canadian, I am one of the privileged people in the world that have access to the C19 vaccine & so thankful to have received both doses. For anyone who is at all skeptical please do a bit of research into mRNA vaccines.

The science behind the new COVID-19 vaccines has not been rushed. In fact, these vaccines are building on decades of scientific research.

Thanks to everyone doing their part - be safe, be wise & use your privileged access to a C19 vaccine to protect yourself, your loved ones & to help the world recover from this devastating pandemic. Lesley 🇨🇦

What is the benefit and advantage of vaccine, after which people show lack of responsiblity, after they get vaccine they become careless and not following SOPs not putting face masks and therefore getting infected and spreading CORONA more frequently than before.

Works fine if you're a resident of somewhere. But how are the rest of us even supposed to get a vaccine. It's starting to be a case of you can't go anywhere without a vaccine, but I can't get one where I am... I am stateless. I have no rights anywhere, not even my own country.
