If someone has applied and got Category F residency and then goes on to obtain citizenship after the required number of years would they then be able to work in Cyprus, or would they have to continue to self fund?

Any info much appreciated

Strictly speaking self funding... however thousands of people took their residency on the basis of self funding and then as their circumstances changed went on to work with no real issues but then that was as EU nationals  and very few if any checks were made as regards category of residency or indeed much else but since B things may well have changed.

Note there is no indication of category on the yellow slip anyway don’t know about the new form MUK1 or 3

As for citizenship it’s a harder route now than it used to be as greek language  was not a criteria but it is now

Thanks as ever Toon, with regards to the Greek language criteria you mentioned, does that mean for Category F or once you have completed your years and go for citizenship?

Toon

Yes for citizenship application you now need Greek.... as a Result of the recent citizenship and passports debacle
