UK passport - brief visit from Vietnam - what will I need?

My first time popping over to Thailand for a quick hospital visit on a UK passport.
I have no Thai Visa - only staying 3 days.
What is the process?
Turn up at Don Muang, ask for Visa on Arrival and pay 2,000B?

(I'll have a return ticket, a hotel, and my passport is in order)

Can I simply get stamped in at the immigration counter - or will I need to show something more?

Thanks in advance.

Uk passport holders get 30 days exempt entering Thailand, so you don't have to pay anything.

@JohnMell is correct.

Immigration Might ask for travle plan, Hotel, return ticket and so on.
All so sometimes they ask to see if you have money on you, 20.000 baht.
This can be in any currency that equals to the 20.000 baht.

If it is you first visit to Thailand i dont think you have problems, Even so Don Muang is the worst airport to come into without a Visa.

Kindly.

VOA - No worries for a British passport holder

Cash and the hospital and, assuming it isn't a prostate operation, cash and condoms in bars. :D

Is there not a fee of 1,900 baht to pay? I've read this from several sources.

No, That fee is if you want to extend your entry by another 30 days at a Thai immigration office.
