Have a great day, everyone!

This is an excellent reason to avoid Spain, and the EU.
Think of the massive cost to business and taxpayers, then ask if it's a good idea. Imagine a small company with key staff missing for 2 months, then wonder what this idiocy is going to cost them.

Hey Fred, thank you for your response! Don't Nordic countries, for example, make it work with generous parental leave and generally good welfare system, though?

They have, but at a cost. I looked at this some while ago when some idiot in the UK proposed it (at least they're a little less daft as they limited the time a lot more), and I still remember some of the things people have to put up with because of this moronic politically inspired idea intended to promote equality, but actually only promotes job losses and headaches.
Basically, tax payers get hammered (They call it, "Tax distortion - really means paying more), workers have to work harder to cover missing staff, or companies have to hire extra staff in order to fill the gaps, that making their costs per man hour far more expensive. If business pays more, that makes them less competitive against products from countries without this stupidity, thus eventually a loss of work as customers buy cheaper products from abroad.
Add training up temp staff when key people are away, and that leads to inefficiency and a greater likelihood of quality issues.

Basically, it's stupid and self defeating for Spain, but great for China and other major exporter countries.
