Hello everyone,

I am new here so if this isnt the right place to post I apologise in advance.

My questions is regarding family reunification in France. My father is a French citizen but I am not, so I was wondering if there are any way my father can do anything to help me get in sort of long term residency etc... from this. We contacted a lawyer before and he said that this is possible but he never got in details because he was in a hurry and obviously wanted money.

If anyone over here can provide any assitance I would be extremely grateful for you.

Hi DonHarpoon,

Welcome to the forum.

Family reunification is for spouse and children under 18years.

"The family reunification procedure concerns collectively:

the spouse of at least 18 years old of a foreigner residing in France,
and minor children (under 18 years old)."

You can translate the page with google : https://www.service-public.fr/particuli … its/F11166

Perhaps consider looking for information about citizenship as your father is French citizen.

All the best,
Bhavna

Hey Bhavna,

Thanks for your reply, I was wondering if this process is possible for over 21? The thing about citizenship would be possible if I was under 18 true, but sadly this isn't the case.

Thanks,
