Hello everyone,

My name is Ed Anderson.  I am from Maryland, USA and I am twice retired.  I just returned to Panama, after being gone for 24 years, to live in semi retirement.  Currently looking for some part time work just to keep busy.

Hope everyone reads this in good health!

Best Wishes,

It's not that simple. You have to get legal to work. Most jobs aren't open to foreigners and you need to speak Spanish. The pay is very low by US standards, around $600-700/month for most jobs for full time, which is six days a week. If you only want to keep busy maybe consider some volunteer opportunities.

The only "work" I plan to do is volunteer work

Part-time jobs are something that 90% of employers do not like, maybe you may have more luck trying to teach english (if that is your native language). And of course you will need anyways a labor permit from MITRADEL (Panama Labour Ministry).
