Tourist Visa Transfer to Dependant Visa

Hi to all,

I am new in Kuwait and this is my first topic. Learned a lot from you all, thx.

I have a question about visas.

I brought my wife and infant to Kuwait and they entered with tourist visa valid for 3 months. After I get the residence in few days, I will apply for their dependant visa.

My question is: While they are staying here with their tourist visa, can we transfer their tourist visa to dependant visa? Or do they have to go back in order to apply for their dependant visa?

They definitely need to go back.

Two years ago we did the same and we didn't have to go back...immediatelly after my husband got his residency he applied for ours

Thanks for your replies guys.

I wonder if they have to go back to our home country or is that OK if they exit Kuwait and go somewhere else like Bahrain and then enter Kuwait with dependant visa?
