Types of visas that exist

I was wondering if an investors visa exists. A few countries in South American have it where you put around $20,000 in a bank as proof of income rather than the $1200 a month income and then around $1000 for every dependable. Is it easy to apply for a visa after the tourist visa expires? Also, what are the requirements? Could never really get a clear answer on this.

Thanks to one and all.

The financial requirement is $2500 a month income from outside of Mx or $136,000 in a bank outside of Mx.US dollars

That will be the day when I put 20 grand in a Mexican bank.

You apply at a MX consulate outside of Mexico. For a temporary resident ~$1500 / month of income for 6 months or 25,000 in an account / investments for a year. Or Permanent esident with numbers of ~2500 and 100,000.
