Housing November till Februari

Post new topic

MaartenBerg

Hi! I'm Maarten from The Netherlands and I'm doing an internship at IFDC, a developing organisation. Currently I'm living in Maputo (Mozambique), before coming to Nairobi at November 7th. At the moment I rent a room from a very friendly local guy.

I enjoyed the living with locals very much, and I like to continue this in Nairobi. I like to meet local Kenya people to learn  from the Kenya culture and share knowledge and experiences. The IFDC office is located at c/o icipe Campus, Duduville, Kasarani, Thika Road.

Do you have any suggestions for a nice room I can rent; I appreciate it very much if you can contact me!

Hello Maartenberg,

If will help for you to indicate a budget.  From your description, the ideal accommodation would be to find a homestay situation?  Let me have the details and I will find a host family or a room near the area where you will be working.  Karibu Nairobi. Regards.   Kessy  (kesiyaki@yahoo.co.uk)

Hi Kessy,

Thanks very much! My budget is around 150-250 dollar, dependent on what the house offers. I prefer to stay by one or some young people.

Ciao!

Hi Maarten. Welcome to Nairobi Kenya. I currently have a room available . I live within access to the Thika Highway which takes you to the Kasarani Area . So in actuality you will be in very close proximity to ICIPE  Campus. Am a kenyan National and i normally rent out my rooms to visiting expats who are here for short term stays.
The room is fully furnished and has own bathroom and toilet with access to Hot Water. What is your budget please.
I can be reached on this email account: homestayskenya@gmail.com

Look forward to hearing from you and once again, KARIBU ( WELCOME) to kenya

Warm regards

Carolina
