Hi all,
We arrive on the 25th to start our moving to Malta research! we are very excited! But what about the Jellyfish?
Will we be able to swim in the sea at all?

Hi,

I go swimming every day in Balluta Bay/Sliema and havn't seen a jellyfish here for weeks! Saw a few at Golden Bay last week that were quickly fished out and buried in the sand.

The water is very clear so you just look and avoid them. But they have not been a big problem yet this year and hopefully it will stay way.

So have a nice trip and if I see more jellies around I will update here.

Hi Ricky,
Thanks of that reassuring info. Some reports here are saying its a huge problem!
Have brought some Jelly fish/ sun protection cream just in case my daughter gets the heeby-jeebys!
Just can't wait to get there now!

Went swimming to the Blue Lagoon today .......... 5 hours - no jellies !

But I'm not giving a guarantee for the 25 th !
