Any Dental Assistants from Canada working in the UAE?

I just want to say I am thankful for finding this forum, Kudos to the creator and all you folks who take the time to provide people with Information regarding living in the UAE.

I am Canadian, and a Certified Dental Assistant. I have been in contact with a hiring agency for Jobs in UAE. The have requested I send my resume, so I recently did this.
My question is which city is the best to live and work in Abu Dhabi or Dubai? Because I am canadian in order to earn a tax-free living I must reside there for 2 years. If it is less I will be taxed by the canadian govt upon my return. :-(
I would really value any advice from Dental Assistants (or Nurses who work along side Dental Assistants) about your experiences.

This is one of the biggest decisions of my life, I will be coming alone single but have children who will stay in Canada with their Dad and family. Can a child come visit me? How often do companies pay for visits for myself back home? Or is this not done? Help!
