Which one would be the best bet for getting worked on around Corozal Town? I am planning on bringing in an older model small 4 cyl SUV. Thanks!

your older 4cyl suv an excellent choice.

I don't think you would have a problem with getting any of those models worked on here.

There's a garage on C-street he has his own parts department and works on all models of cars and buses.

If you can afford to buy a new vehicle,  $25-28,000 US, the local expat word, is that buying a new 4 passenger, diesel, Kia pick up in Belize City is the most cost effective option.  It has little wheels so one would have to be careful about the suspension.  that is what people with money are reccommending.   If it were me, at this time, I would go to LA and get a 4 cyl chevy pick up (s-10)7-10 years old, with a solid engine and suspension.

So I am going to go see a 1995 Nissan pathfinder this weekend. I was pushing for a 4 cyl but saw that duty for a 4 cyl is not much less than a 6? Maybe I am wrong, but is this information correct?
Also, does a pathfinder seem suitable? We plan on living just outside of corozal, or any town really, but need something to haul small building material as well as the family

I just bought a '93 Isuzu Rodeo in Corozal yesterday. It was a car that a local dealer brought in from Texas a few weeks ago. We paid less for it here than we would have if we would have bought it in the states, shipped it down and paid the taxes and duty.
While you don't have the same number of options to choose from down here, if you don't want to do through the hassle of shipping( or driving it yourself through Mexico), buying here is viable option.
