Hi hello, I am an Indian from Poland. I am planning to come to Norway with my girlfriend so could someone please let me know some basic details, like:

- how's the situation with part-time jobs now? Would it be easy enough to find something without knowing Norwegian language initially?
- would it be possible for two people working part-time to afford living and studying? (By the way, my gf is an European, from EU) What's the average monthly cost of living, having some student accomodation?

Plus, I can add that I'm heading for doing my Bachelor's in computer science and my gf would like to pursue her Master's in Russian Philology, so maybe some of you could let me know about the admission procedures. We both speak good English.

I'd be very grateful for any help. Regards!

Hello,

Finding a job without speaking Norwegian is difficult, and with rising unemployment I don't think this will get any easier. You can look through jobs at www.finn.no. You can also look at accommodation there.

It might be possible to work part-time and to study, but it must be difficult. The cost of living is extremely high in many parts of the country. You can read about the cost of living here: http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/co … try=Norway

Your girlfriend might be eligible for some financial support given that she is an EU citizen. You can read about this here: http://www.lanekassen.no/Toppmeny/Languages/

You can read about university admissions procedures here: http://www.samordnaopptak.no/info/english/
