Hey there guys. I'm currently based in Italy but hoping to move to Germany as soon as I get a job, anywhere else in Germany (though Berlin, Hamburg and Munich are my first preferences. I'm currently working (here in Italy) as a truck driver and so I'm searching within the same field.
Anyone help me out there!!!

Thank you

beppi

If you are EU citizen, you are free to move and work wherever you want in Germany.
If you are not EU citizen, you need a German work permit, which is difficult to get for a truck driver.

Thanks a lot Beppi. Yeh i'm not an EU citizen, but isn't it easier to get that Germany work permit if I'm holding a "permanent/unlimited" Italian work permit? And do you know the requirements to obtain one? Thank you once again.

beppi

As far as I know, having an Italian work permit does not help in getting a German one.
Once you have a job, you can apply for a visa from the embassy and, after arrival, get the work permit from your local Arbeitsamt.

Ah ok. Thank you so much Beppi.
