Hello Alex,
Like Anatolie said, real time experience is what needed presently, though the job market seems to be very dry in SA, we still have a hope because we see many openings popping up on the job portal.
But the ultimate thing is, your 7 years and my 5.6 years of work exp is useless in AUS, it can be just used to cover the past, as most of the recruiters ask for local experience.
