Working as a entertainer around the Hotels in Malta

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate your help and any advise I can obtain regarding working as a entertainer around the Hotels in Malta.

I am talking about the summer of 2014, so next year when I have scheduled a 6 week period from the last two weeks in July and all of Augusr when I thought I would try to do something completely different for a change.

I have been coming to Malta for the last 30 years and my very first visit was in about 1980 when I played in a Concert Band and did concerts all over the island and Gozo and since then I have always enjoyed the Island.

My questions are as follows and if any one can help at all I would it would really be appreciated.

1) do I need a work permit? I will be working as self employed.
2) do English entertainers work the Hotel circuit?
3) would I contact the Hotels directly or are their particular agents I could contact?
4) how much could I expect to charge for an evening?
5) is what I am thinking of viable or am I just dreaming?

I do have more question but I think these are most important ones at this stage. I just really need to find out if this is at all possible in the first place.
