Professional pet movers?

Post new topic

AKtoTromso

Has anyone used a professional company to move their pets?  I am moving to Tromso from Alaska in March 2013, and I am most stressed about moving my cat and dog.  I think it will be easier to have a professional company help me with the move, especially for the dog, but I would like to hear some good reviews of some companies before using one of them.  Thanks in advance for any help!

Don't know if it's too late but I'm in the same situation and have done some search. (In my case, moving from Chicago to Oslo with a cat) I found out that you need to

_call the airline first to check with their policies
_check to see how many pets are flying that day (for SAS/United, only up to 2 pets can fly each day)
_within 10 days, give all the shots necessary and get a certificate from the vet
_put the pet in the certified cage (on the airline's website)

and I think you're good to go.
I'm really stressed about this too and still considering if I need to put my cat up for adoption...
Good luck!

My family and I are planning a move to norway. We have 3 horses and are trying to find quotes to ship them to norway with no luck. Also who do we trust?
