One thing I am looking forward to are clear nights on Gozo for skywatching and photography.
Does anyone share my interests?
I would be interested to know as I would like to learn more and to improve.

Hi,

I'm far from professional but love photography and I can tell you the sky here is beautiful most of the times. The clouds sit unusually low and take all kinds of different shapes and colors. Sunsets are magical. The views at Ghajn Tuffieha bay are so great for picture taking, I took lots already and they are always different and amazing. You should enjoy it.

I too love photography and that is one of the reasons for my husband and I moving to Malta.  I agree about the clouds.  I live on St. Paul's Bay and we have shot dozens of gorgeous pics of the sunrise, sunset and storms.  I am an amateur but Malta and a good DSLR camera (Nikon) make me look good.  It is much more being in the right place at the right time but of course I take the credit.

Thank you, I am not a stranger to Malta but this winter we are staying for 6 weeks on Gozo (moving permanently over in July)and I thought that with lower levels of light pollution there I could get some good moon, star and planet shots. I agree with sunsets, one of my favourite pastimes is watching the sunset at Xlendi.
Thanks and take care
