Wikipedia says:
"Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away."

Isn't everything in ALL restaurant prepared & served very quickly? For example indian cuisine, ingredients are preheated or precooked whatsoever. So why is Indian food not counted as fast food?

Alliecat

It's not fast food unless it's laden with fat, sugar and salt ;)

Good point.  Usually 'fast food' is something that can be eaten with one hand, while driving lol  A wee bit difficult with spaghetti!
