PNU Compound

Post new topic

I've read a lot about PNU and tbe SBC, but it seems those posts are referencing past recruiters and problems. I have been in touch with a recruiter, who has been fantastic, and am about to sign a contract to teach at PNU.
The snag...no info on the compound. Can anyone tell me about the teacher housing compound for PNU teachers?

Also, if anyone has RECENT input on working at PNU, please pass it along.

Thanks.

I guess there are quite a few of us that are waiting for details.  I wonder if we will be working together?

If so, hi!

Hi fellow PNU teachers!

So what I've heard is that the new SBC hires will be all staying in the Hotel Brzeen until the compound is "ready".

If you ladies are getting ready to leave soon send me a PM with your email so we can keep in touch in KSA.

Hi Folks,

The situation is that SBC hires (at least through Adwaa Rabia) are at the Brzeen, which is a nice place, and you'll have your own spacious room.  The meals are good (not amazing), and breakfast is included.  Teachers have organized an excellent set meal for 35 riyals, optional.

The compound looks nice, but is under construction.  The important things:
-the plan is to put 4 people in a 3bdrm villa, with the dining room converted into a fourth bdrm
-the compound is only for us, thus women-only
-it's in walking distance of a few major malls, which is *really* useful
-there will be a pool and a gym

Teachers are fighting hard against the 4-person plan, as many people were promised single accommodation.

Get EVERYTHING IMPORTANT in writing, in your contract, before you come.  There are endless discrepancies between what Adwaa promises and what you'll find at PNU.

Any updates on the 4 people in a 3bdrm villa plan?

I ran into a snag with my visa (I was missing a document), but am moving forward. I was told that I will be leaving asap. For any new PNU hires I've gotten a few emails from a teacher already there and it seems like there will be 3 women in a 4 bedroom villa, HOWEVER single women will be housed with women with children. I was also told the compound is nice. Of course, "nice" is subjective.

Adwaa's lack of response has delayed everything for me.  I too signed a contract with SBC via Adwaa, but it was 2 months ago.  I've completed everything for my employment visa but Adwaa is extremely slow to respond.  Anyone know what's going on with them?
