Car insurance back in the UK

Hi. We are taking our Swiss car back to the UK. Obviously with the attestation, our current car insurance will be cancelled. We are already engaged with a company to help transition our car but are unsure about how to ensure our car for the duration of the process to transfer the car to UK standards and insurance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
