Requesting a NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) cannot be fully completed online; you must use the Spanish government's appointment system (Cita Previa). You then submit your application in person at a Policía Nacional station or through an accredited representative.

thank you for your prompt reply!

I did get that I had to go in person with the documnets once physically in Spain,

Although I thought I could download the papaer in order to fill them in and go to the appointment with everything ready but got stuck with the website chasing my tail.

Hi!

The links on the Policía website often fail, but there is a correct way to book an appointment for the NIE. You can do it here:

And the 790/012 fee (the one required for the NIE) can be downloaded and paid here:

👉 Tasa 790/012 – Policía Nacional: https://sede.policia.gob.es/Tasa790012/

With these two links you should be able to complete the process without any issues.
