Finding someone to facilitate our arrival in Lisbon

cecile latour

Hi, we are senior Canadian travellers and we have rented an apt in the center of Lisbon, close to the elevator, for 2 months starting May 23rd. We would like to hire someone, maybe for 2 hours or day, for one week, to facilitate our adaptation, Not a tourist guide, just someone helpful to show us how to take the metro, where the best food shops are, that kind of thing. Age does not matter, it could be a student who wants to earn a bit of money, just someone patient with older people who are slower to learn. We would be happy to pay a suitable fee. Thanks, Cecile Latour, Ottawa. ***

Hi Celine,

This my idea is out of the box. Why not speak to an English teacher in Lisbon? He/she can help you give you some tips about the city. There are expat teachers, it can also be an added value... some contacts here:
