Hi,

I'll be permanently relocating to Italy in May 2026. I am currently looking for rental housing. I have all of my documents ready to apply for citizenship upon arrival to Italy in May.

A referral to a smart, solid attorney would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't need one if you have the right for Italian citizenship; save your money.

I need someone to help me to act as my delegate and obtain the codice fiscale for me in Italy while I 'm in the USA so that I can legally find a long term residence. Without that, I can't open a bank account, sign a lease, do anything.

So, while obtaining my citizenship is well on it's way...living there requires help from an attorney. You're an expert on here?

You can get a Codice Fiscale from the Italian Consulate for your area by using Modulo AA4/8 on Agenzia delle Entrate, obtained on line, you can mail it to the Consulate, there is no fee.
