Income required to get residency

Hi all, some simple answers if there is any please, as so far i have found some conflicting info..

so to get residency what is the expected income, or expected savings requirements please?

As i intend to have this as a retirement retreat to leave UK, i wont have monthly earnings as income only a pittance of a pension, and any lump sum will be used to purchase a property, so the rest of any sum will be from the sale of our modest property in uk.

I'm also assuming any government OAP pension i would get if i live in UK wont be available to me if i leave the uk? of am i wrong in that thinking.

and for clarity, i have seen the figures showing costs to live etc, but for me thats all dependent if you choose to live eating meals out every night and have a ''holiday'' existence.

Im quite simple for needs, and not needy in terms of lifes extravagances.
