Yes, I think we are stuck with generations of Trumps in US politics.
A generational curse that is on us that is!
You never really know, the true villian may be Malaria, she could be pulling the strings? - @Marilyn Tassy
Oh dear, that will be a horror show. I just heard Trump fired the Inspector Generals in violation of Federal law. These are appointed individuals. I can see that being in court very quickly. The guy thinks laws of the land do not apply to him. The King of Chaos has returned!
As for Malaria, hmmm....if Donny passes (one can hope), maybe she'll be pulling Barron's strings but he's too young and we'd have to wait a long time for him to reach the required age to be El Presidente. He'd have to be 35. And by that time, maybe Washington, California and Oregon will have joined Canada. I heard a Canadian ambassador say that on the radio. Hilarious!
I had a nice Jewish boy as a platonic BF when I was 17.He for sure was gay but still had not come to teams with it.He was the only son of a nice older Jewish couple in the old area of Beverly Hills, loved their home, built in the 1920s with French doors and all.He went to school with my older firend, seems everyone in that area knew each other one way or the other.I met him with 3 of my friends on a school trip at an art museum. He started up a conversation with me because I was wearing a ,cool outfit.*Had on my brown 1940s womens suit jacket with a fresh picked flower in my lapel. Long story but we spent a few hours chatting and never thought we would meet again;Fast forward a good year to when I was living on , Normal Ave, real name of the st; We walked into each other on the st;His hobby was like mine at the time, just mindlessly taking long walks around Hollywood into the Beverly Hills part of town for hours on end. We even had roller skating dates later on since although he had a car he suffered from epilepsy. He rarely drove.When I say platonic; I mean we barely kissed and just held hands;He would sew outfits for me, buy me things from antique shops to wear and generally was just a good buddy.All came to a sudden end when we drove to my hometown and I introduced him to my friend Holly;She shared a BD with me and was a rather odd girl , sort of odd like he was, bookworm types.Well he told me he had to break up with me because he saw himself as a Woody Allen type and Holly looked more like Mia Farrow then I did!Nutty; They did not last long together.Last I heard he sadly had a fit on stage when he was performing with his ballet troupe in the Netherlands. He told me himself, forgot how was met up that one time after how he acted with breaking up on a whim with me.His family was very sweet though, his older sister had polio and was in a wheelchair and he was again a closet case. Felt bad for his parents.Everytime I see Woody Allen I get mad! - @Marilyn Tassy
My cousin is married to a Jewish guy. They seem to get along fine and they are quite good financially as he's got a super job. Their kids also seem to be quite successful. I guess my cousin and him must be close to retirement. I wonder if they will go to Israel to retire - if only for the better weather.
My Mum had a Polish boyfriend. He was in the Polish Air Force during WW2 and was hanging out with my Mum but eventually that fizzled out and the rest is history. I suppose we could have been Polish. But obviously we wouldn't have had any choice and we wouldn't be us.
I guess Woody Allen is rich enough not to care. I think he's a bit tainted and no-one is going to finance his films. Just a rumour of wrongdoing and esteemed careers are in the toilet. No-one will touch them. Unless you're the Teflon Don. He and Guiliani still owe money for their convictions/court cases. And big time. My schadenfreude meter has twitched.
My step father had several brothers but only one sister.
She once asked my mother if I could go to a religious service with her. I was 7.
I had to cover my head with a scarf and of course dress nice.
I realized later in life that we had gone to a Synagoge.
She had married a Jewish man and had converted from Catholic;
It was nice enough inside, very nice actually but at 7, I can not remember much of it.
Only went with her once.
We never really went to religious services until I was 12 or so and spent every Saturday morning with the JWs.
That lasted about a year or less.
My mom was always changing her mind about the JWs;
I actually get on well with Jewish people, they have almost always been very kind with me.
My experiences as a silly 19 year old Goy in Flatbush, NY showed me that people are people overall.
I had a huge blow out with a chick, American who I happened to be staying with in Brooklyn;
My husband left me in her care with her HU boyfriend while he looked around in S; Africa for 6 weeks.
We thought of moving to Jo burg;
Long story but it keep it simple, that chick was from Jersy and a druggie stripper. He HU BF lived off of her stripping income.
What low lifes I was staying with. I was angry with my husband but at the time, that was all we could afford as if he liked S; Africa I was to follow and we had to watch our pennies.
IDK, she was on smack or something that made her out of her mind;
I came home from a job I had in a bar, as a fully clothed barkeeper, she was always telling me I should strip too, no way! She was a mess and it was gross to me.
OK, so I come home from a long night to find she had gone insane;
Had little notes written in lipstick on the floor with arrows pointing to my room;
I found about 90 % of my vintage clothing collection is bits and pieces. She had cut them to bits!
I was really shocked because there was no reason for it except that she was nuts.
I wanted to do her in, I put my hands around her throat but because she had an insnae smile on her face and just acted like a rag doll I let her go? Just too strange and scary.
Packed up what little of my things remained and walked out.Was going to take a bus ride to Conn; to regroup and stay with my auntie and her family.
On the way out of the flat a old Jewish lady opened up her door and asked me to come in.
She said that chick was always trouble and she wanted to help me. She made some tea and let me call my aunt and make arrangements to get a bus ride.
Super kind in my hour on need.
Went to Conn; and stayed a week or so with my aunt. My 94 year old grandfather gave me money. Allot for the times $400; more then enough to buy a flight back to Ca; and replace some of my clothing.
I went back to NY just for a few days so that I could leave cheaper from NY then from Conn. Stayed with some HU guys, paid for my few days with them by cleaning their flat, what a mess!
During those couple of days we finally got a letter from slow mail S; Africa that my husband was returning to NY the next week.
I did not fly out, stayed waiting for him in Ny.
The money for my flight was enough for us to rent a car and drive to Ca and start up again.
Not sure what would of happened if that letter did not come in time!
After that experience, I decided to never be room mates with another chick, not even one of my sisters.
I
Oh my friends 3rd birth was normal from what I know.
Her mother was tall, 5'8" and of course she had that really tall big father.
Her husband is Persian and really tall too, at least 6'1" or taller.
Had a friend in Hawaii who was another large wonder women type, her husband was a footballer from Tonga. He was massive, had to be nearly 6'5" tall scary looking guy too.
My polish/Rusin relations are not big people at all, some aunties were 5'2" and tiny little things.
I wonder if diet because of growing up in the depression years made them smaller then they were programed to be with their DNA?
What I find strange is with my mom's 6 kids only my deceased sister and I are fair and tall, slim, the rest are stronger and shorter and dark.So much different that we would often be asked if any of us were adopted.
Now that my sis has passed away, when I take photos with my siblings people ask who they are.
It's just weird how people can turn out. We have a native American great grandmother and my 4 sibs look very native, nice thick dark hair and built tough, I am always breaking down and they are strong. My nearly 69 year old sister still rides a motorbike and shovels her own snow by hand every winter, she even does her elderly neighbors walkways.
I am weak compared to them, just odd. - @Marilyn Tassy
Oh yes, about a year later that chick somehow found my address and wrote me.
Saying how sorry she was about how she acted, that she heard I was a new mother and she also was one.She was living back in Jersey with her parents ;
I never wrote her back;
Let laying dogs lay;
Her BF had dumped her while she was pregnant too!
I know, I met his next GF and his wife later on. He was scummy too, he was one of the HU guys we knew who got deported from the US. Now that is bad considering Trump was not even in office then!
I just found out Trumps teen son is already 6 foot 7 inches tall!
Wow, I thought my boy was tall at 6 foot 3 inches.
Must be all that Slovakian food he eats! Malaria said he only eats his grandmothers cooking.
No Micky D or Pizza Hut for him. Let the peasants eat cake!
We know where he bought a house in HU for his mom years ago, never want to meet up so never even go near there!

My Dad was thinking of going to South Africa at one point. In many ways, its good he didn't go and drag us all out there. I mean considering how their transition to majority rule has gone and a lot of mismanagement. We all may have dodged that particular bullet.
I don't think my parents really thought about the long term effects of moving us around. I never truly understood why they came back from their colonial stint in the Pacific region. They arrived on Pacific islands after emigration to Australia which was free for WW2 soldiers. At the time it probably seemed reasonable as their contracts ended and they had free repatriation as part of the deal. I've always thought they should have gone back to Australia and not returned to the UK. Not immediately anyway. Australia is the lucky country after all.
People do odd things which seem entirely reasonable at the time but down the road it seems like other decisions would have been better. Perhaps. Benefit of hindsight and all that.

We had a South African recruiter come to our Depot when I was doing my Skill at Arms course; it was all sanctioned by the MOD back then (mid-70s). One of us joined them, but it never appealed to me; I had a posting to Berlin to look forward to.
My husband had a sort of emotional time after being in the US for just over 2 years.
He was wondering if he made the right choice immigrating to the US or not.
He knew a few HU guys in S; Africa and they were doing really good.
This was duringAparthed.
My open minded liber l husband went to look around and decide if we should make it home or not.
He was shocked overall; Said everyone was extra nice and patient with him but the class system was too strange for him.
He could see it falling apart at some time and all heck breaking loose.
In the mean time though as a skilled machinist he would be living the life ; I would have maids, a driver and a nice home as long as we towed the line.
Never even knew about Aparthed until he went there.
Just everything against my believes, no one is better then anyone else, that is how I was raised.
He had some strange experiences while there.
First was arriving in Jo Burg with his suitcase and walking around looking for a hotel.
Everyone was staring at him. One man pulled his car over and call to him.
He asked if he was new in town . Told him to get in his car and he would take him to a hotel because a white man can not be seen carrying his own luggage, he should of hired someone to carry it!
Many such experiences which he found embarrassing since he too was not raised that way.
He told me when he returned to the US that one reason we were not going to live there is because he could see me in jail my first day there!
Probably so, I do not think I could live with myself if I knew I was using others to get ahead.

I don't think people were really thinking about South Africa and apartheid way back when. In the 80s I worked in a company that had subsidiaries in South Africa and on occasion we had people from there working with us in the UK. They were all white and some of them were children of immigrants like from say, Italy.
Without really knowing the situation there, or anyone's personal circumstances, by that time, we'd all be wound up to be hostile to anyone hailing from that country. I cannot say we were unpleasant but we did question why that person was somehow still there, why wasn't it more democratic or keen on equality. We weren't quite so active in getting them down the pub and wot not. Looking back on it, we were ignorant in the UK. We - as a country - also didn't really help people from ZImbabwe. The UK condemned a lot of people to that madman and fascist Mugabe. It wasn't a carefully judged transition which could have maintained stability while moving to majority rule. Of course, it was a long time ago now.
I hear South Africa, particularly Cape Town, is quite a nice place to visit but I've always had in my mind that much of the country is overrun by criminal gangs. I've no idea of the truth of that. It's probably just as easy to get shot in Washington DC within sight of the White House as it is to get mugged and shot on Table Mountain. South African tourist authorities have quite a mountain to climb to change people's ideas about the place.
When I visit the UK, I quite often hear South African accents. I guess these people have voted with their feet and gone back to the mothership.
U.S. President Donald Trump's military deportation flight to Guatemala on Monday likely cost at least $4,675 per migrant, according to data provided by U.S. and Guatemalan officials.
That's even more than a first class return seat.

Maybe get Musk and DOGE on the deportation job. It sounds a bit inefficient. Maybe he can house them at his compound in Texas. Next to the Space X launch platform. Could get a bit crispy. Oh wait, other countries have done that. How'd that work out them? Musk's and Donny's heroes.
I don't see how they can deport people if they don't know where they come from. How do they know they came from Guatemala? They could have come from Costa Rica or El Salvador. Anywhere!
It was even worse with the UK plans for Rwanda - I think the "unit" costs were something like £67K. I didn't Google it so it could have more. Maybe £1.8M each according to The Guardian. BTW, I read the other DOGE bloke, Vivek Ramaswamy has been given the heave-ho rather silently. Not sure what that was about.
I'm listening to Trump blame Biden and other Democrats for the AA/helicopter crash in DC. He said the FAA was hiring mentally handicapped people as flight controllers. He also blamed dwarves. He didn't mention trolls though (the ones under the bridge, not the ones Musk likes). He'll be blaming LGBT+ people for that next. Or abortionists. Non-Christians maybe? The "woke" agenda whatever that is. Or whoever he doesn't like right now.
I wondered if he could keep his mouth shut and just say everyone is sad about it and everyone has to wait for the reports on what happened. That would be the obvious thing to do. He's the Chief of Chaos and in Week 2, he's proving it once again.

Not surprisingly, in terms of hourly running cost in the air - a C17 costs $24k, as opposed to an A330 which is about $8k. The military aircraft spend a lot of time parked up on the ground, so depreciation and other fixed costs on military hardware pushes up the running costs in comparison to its civilian counterpart. One of the reasons why the UK government charters a lot of its requirements.

I wonder how many people you get on a C17? Maybe as many as an A380 packed in, like 600 on average perhaps.
A flight to Cuba might take so 2h, so that's $48K divided by 600 or $80 a head. Of course it's more, so double that for meals, drinks and duty free, goody bags, guards with whips etc brings it to say $160 - one way.
It'd be 1/3 of that on the A330.
At that price, it's probably comparable to Ryan Air but with more frills like full board beach side accommodation included on arrival and a personal security detachment.

Ok so that's not bad for 30K people - comes out at $4.8M for travel at my overestimate.
But his costs will be $14M on DJT's budget. Even that seems relatively cheap overall.
If it's 600 people per plane, it's 50 flights. It's going to take quite a while to do that. It'll depend on how quickly they can get them out of Cuba and on the way somewhere else. It's a logistics job. Someone is going to have a good profit providing services in Cuba for Camp Trump. Imagine the hotel services. Trump will be thinking a low cost Trump style hotel.
After the tariff spat, I wonder if the Colombians are thinking about upping coke production and directing it North. There must be some thoughts about quietly ignoring some narco flights going North.
I've heard Donny has a diet Coke button. I don't think he was expecting the button to do that.

- @fluffy2560He says he is going to deport 30,000 - @SimCityAT
I've heard Donny has a diet Coke button. I don't think he was expecting the button to do that. - @fluffy2560
Well the total price will be $140,250,000
Yeah, I watched his speech, OMG I shouldn't be surprised really, but we have 4 years of this, and that is a worry. - @SimCityAT
Yup, more nuts than a Marathon bar - no, it's not Snickers.
That's what they voted for - an orange out of control screw loose blob cum felon with a misogynist agenda.
Oy vay!
@fluffy2560
It's getting that bad, even Republicans are calling for his face to be on Mount Rushmore.
Well the total price will be $140,250,000 - @SimCityAT
Oh, I miscounted. Yes, that's interesting. Let's say it's scaled up to a target 10 million people. That's really huge. Say 17000 flights.
If they could do say, 4 flights a day, it would take about 5600 days. Working 365 days a year non-stop, that'll be 15 years.
I expect we'll all be dead from the asteroid that'll hit us in 2032. And Trump will be further ga-ga or six feet under. There has to be an upside somewhere in all this.
@fluffy2560
It's getting that bad, even Republicans are calling for his face to be on Mount Rushmore. - @SimCityAT
His face? You mean fired from a cannon and face-palmed on the cliff side. It wouldn't be unusual. They do fire clowns out of cannons at the circus.
I reckon his ass more likely up on Rushmore as that's how much disrespect he's been showing.

It's very telling about how thin skinned Donny really is and his supplicants toadying up to him says much. He also apparently wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize. It'll never happen. We'll never see the USS Donald J Trump either. Maybe a garbage scow. In any case, he'd have to be dead I think before we'd see a ship called that. And it'll make the US Navy a laughing stock around the world. Anyone promoting such a thing will inevitably lose all credibility.
I'm looking forward to the next faux pas - maybe a replay of the Four Seasons press conference? Hilarious!
@fluffy2560
Next he'll be wanting an Airport named after him.
@fluffy2560
Next he'll be wanting an Airport named after him. - @SimCityAT
Yes for sure.
Maybe they could name it Orange Blob International.
He's very keen on having a legacy. Perhaps he thinking of his finite existence. He's definitely got an expiry date and it's sooner than later given his age.
But I think he'll be remembered by people as a right wing political clown, a misogynist, a felon, even a rapist (according to the recent movie anyway), a flim-flam man and many other things.
He could even be remembered as a bogey man for at least half of the US population.
Imagine kids being told, "go to sleep or I'll get Donald Trump to come and tuck you in". Aaarggh!!
@fluffy2560
And still hinting on going for a 3rd term. I can't see how, especially with his age. But as the republicans control both house's it could be possible in a way?
@fluffy2560And still hinting on going for a 3rd term. I can't see how, especially with his age. But as the republicans control both house's it could be possible in a way? - @SimCityAT
This was a question today on Mystery Hour (LBC James O'Brien).
I think it's the 22nd Amendment and it's asking a lot for any constitutional change. Needs 70% in both houses plus votes in the States. It's massive hill to climb. It might have been Lincoln who set a limit of 10 years. So the reality is it's 10 years in total maximum. The only way he can be in the WH again is to be the VP and pull the strings from that side. If the President at the time, say it's Vance and he dies, Trump could only become President for 2 years as he'd reach 10 years. He would however be able to remain as VP for the full term. He'd be probably be dominating Vance anyway if Vance didn't die in harness.
I cannot see Donny doing anything much in his 4 years except embarrass himself. He's already been knocked back by the courts on his EOs. There are mid-terms in 2 years and it's very unlikely the ongoing clown show could really make that much of an impact with voters. I doubt he'll have any kind of majority then as no-one wants a banana republic. So there's a good chance of him becoming a lame duck President, unable to do anything significant.
BTW, I watched RFK Jr's senate grilling. The guy didn't get off lightly. Moreover, I think he's got Parkinson's or Essential Tremor possibly even Multiple Sclerosis. His voice wobbles and he has twitches and those are symptoms.
BTW, I just heard some major supporters of Trump being interviewed on the radio and they said, Trump was referring to unqualified dwarves. Well at least that clears that bit up then!
Presumably this does not apply to qualified dwarves. I am not sure what qualifies a dwarf in this instance.
We need Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) or Warwick Davis (Star Wars) to chip on this discussion.
Both very fine people and excellent actors.
U.S. President Donald Trump's military deportation flight to Guatemala on Monday likely cost at least $4,675 per migrant, according to data provided by U.S. and Guatemalan officials.
That's even more than a first class return seat. - @SimCityAT
I heard NY is cutting the debt card for food for their illegals who where housed in upscale hotels.
They were getting $350. worth of food vouchers per WEEK per PERSON!!
The max a US citizen can receive with SNAP food benefits is just under $300. per MONTH for the lowest income;
NY is still a so called sanctuary city;
It really bothers me to see grown people who just expect others to care for them. If you are able bodied then either fight to fix your own country or shut up and deal with it.
Do not expect other hard working people to give and keep giving. A bit of help to get a start is fine but it should be legally done.
Like I have stated many times, my fathers people came from Poland but they paid their own way over and worked without gov; aid.Even my mother who raised 4 children by herself without any child support never asked the US gov; to care for her children;
My old friend in N; Ca: has a grown 20 something year old grandson with autism;
He had years and years of special therapy to control his outbursts. He is a very large person and would run wild in stores when he got upset;
IDK, but he has been working at a Target store for over 5 years with that DEI program; Not sure what that is but one Trump wants to cancel;
Even he is paying his own way and he has issues.

Dwarfs, hmm, Barron is 6 foot 7 inches tall, guess we are all dwarfs compared to him. He may even still be growing!
I knew a super nice man in Vegas who happened to be a dwarf. He was the only male who was a regular in our morning yoga classes.
I chatted with him many times before class started.
He had a good job, worked nights in a medical lab.
I also knew a dwarf women at yet another gym I belonged to. Yes, I used to have 2 memberships to 2 different gyms with access to over 20 locations in Vegas between the 2 clubs; I often wondered if I should of invited one of them to join me at a location as my guest so they could meet up. I decided to not try to play Cupid after all; They may of known each other through the grapevine without my help:

Never know. Some major event could unfold and people will be begging for him to go for a 3rd term under some new directive? I do not vote but so far I would rather see him in office then Biden and that crew. Both are too much but no one else has stepped forward that seems much better.
The job is an act and they are all just front men anyways;They get their orders from the man behind the curtain;

The military aircraft spend a lot of time parked up on the ground, so depreciation and other fixed costs on military hardware pushes up the running costs in comparison to its civilian counterpart. One of the reasons why the UK government charters a lot of its requirements. - @Cynic

We once carried more> than 450 passengers on a C130, including 32 on the flight deck, but that was the last South Vietnamese aircraft to fly out of Vietnam when the communist government moved in; technically, it was 10k lbs overweight, and those who saw it leave reckoned it was extremely low for a long time after takeoff. They removed every seat from the cargo hold and sat the pax on the floor, using rope to secure them.
In my day, the most I've ever loaded onto an aircraft was probably a B747, circa 500 pax + bags from Calgary back to the UK, but that was an exception, (we didn't operate any B747s of our own, so it was a charter from somewhere) although was well within the aircraft capability; we chartered it to cover for a tech issue on the RAF Tristar fleet. Routinely, B737-type aircraft flew with circa 130 pax on board, but that was some time ago, these days the 737-800 can carry circa 160 pax; those numbers pretty much reflect today's charter fleets, which is what any Government would have access to.

Who is the man behind the curtain? Putin?
Maybe domestically, it all seems hunky dory with Trump in the hot seat, but he's a nightmare for anyone else outside the borders. He's said there will be tariffs on Canada and China tomorrow. Price jumps will occur in the USA and inflation will rise.
Trump is a destabiliser which more than just annoys everyone and his clowning around with serious matters just makes everyone laugh. It is of course a lot more serious as he has his finger on the button. The world economy relies on stability.
Anyway, as I said, Trump (and his handler, Putin) has an expiry date. He cannot live forever. The GOP and Trump are now one and the same thing. Vance is being groomed as his successor. It's looking like it's going towards foundations of a dictatorship. Many of the elements are already there or in progress. It's the same here in Hungary with Orban and even in Slovakia with Fico (although he seems to be more of an amateur having a tantrum). But the shine comes off that thinking eventually.
While we should be doing our own thing, in a transition period to the US withdrawing from world affairs, we'll need to have to find a way to be cohesive in Europe. I can see an alliance against the US developing amongst even obvious Western allies.

I'd already forgotten about Barron. Maybe this is positive discrimination against "The Little People".
Mrs Fluffy has a theory that putting two rabbits (or dwarves) together doesn't necessarily lead to romance or even friendship between them. We occasionally come across Hungarians in other countries and often people try to push us altogether. Of course, just being Hungarian and speaking Hungarian is only unusual in far away places. Not here.
I guess the same applies to dwarves. They could all meet up at the FAA social club.
It seems that I'm making light of a tragedy but DJT started it.

I remember news reports on the C130 flight out of Vietnam.
It sounds like 600 would be about right for a C-17 in deportation configuration.
If the Antonov AN-225 Mriya hadn't been destroyed in Ukraine, possibly it could have taken over 1000 to maybe 1200.
I was really rather upset about that plane's destruction. It was a beautiful yet ungainly thing. It was a plane I would have loved to have seen. Apparently they are thinking of completing the only 2nd example. Obviously it will take years and peace to do that.

That time of year, whose your favourite to win and do you like the new logo?
For those that don't know, it's The Six Nations.
Is it wise to say they are all mad?

Pretty much yes it is OK to say they are mad.
Interesting that guy had a German name. Presumably they'll be deporting him too!
