Checking out Beziers as possible holiday home location

Hi All,  

My family and I have (all EU citizens) been pooling ideas about buying a small shared holiday flat in southern France and Beziers seems to be a promising location in terms of size, transport and price. None of us has ever taken a step like this before so we’re uncertain of what kind of work/bureaucracy it will entail. If anyone here would like to explain the basics, I’d be very grateful for any pointers via the site’s direct messaging system!  

I’m also likely to be in the Beziers region in the 3rd week of March and plan to take a closer look at the town, so I could also arrange to meet someone with experience in the field. Thanks very much in advance for your help.
