Traffic violation - Nationality

If you want to move to a country of course you will be expected to learn the language of the country you move to.

A one-off traffic fine for a child seatbelt violation will not result in an automatic rejection of your Belgian nationality application.

Blockages or rejections for citizenship are legally triggered by serious intentional crimes, tax or social security fraud, or offenses carrying significant prison sentences.

Minor traffic offenses (even those handled by a Police Court due to a summons) do not compromise public order. Rejections based on driving records are typically reserved for severe, repeating offenses such as multiple drunk driving charges or hit-and-runs.
