Normally, in IMEC there is no such things like salary negotiations.

There are tables and graph on which the salary is decided based on education and experience. Sometimes they try hard to exclude your non-EU experience and not relevant experience, but you have to stay firm on that.

For 15 years of experience, you will get gross salary:

Masters degree: 70608 yearly / 5884 monthly (net will be around 3500-3900)

PHD degree: 82495 yearly/ 6874 monthly (net will be around (4000-4400)

The net salary depends on your family situation, i have calculated assuming a kid of 3 year old and wife has no income)

Thank you for the response. I have the following queries:

  1. Is this estimate valid for every job profile at imec
  2. Are there experience slabs according to which salary is calculated?
  3. I have relevant 15 years of experience. Is their current salary and parity between both countries considered while calculating the salaries
  4. How do you rate imec as a salary paymaster?
  5. Is the salary range mentioned by you maximum?

Thanks.

Have you heard of Google?

What if I have 3 years experience, what will be my salary expectations?

The reason the person is posting the question here is most probably he has not found anything any search engine(google is not the end). Stop being rude to someone who is asking for help. If you cannot help, at least keep your mouth shut and let other people help him. The person is doing exactly what he should do: research. So as we say in french 'circule ailleur stp'

It's funny that I found the information in a  minute, so can't be that hard.

That depends a lot on your qualifications/certifications/industry as well.

Expect more with a more significant degree. For a 15 years experienced person with a master degree in the same field : 5000-6500 bruto per month. Now, it can also come with perks and should be negociated: company car, meal voucher, phone, phone subscription. Again, more qualifications, more negotiable

Also, note that in Belgium, taxes are very high.

Gross is not equal to net.

So you will take away more or less 60-65% of your bruto with 1 depency.
