I am planning to buy a property and move to Vilvoorde. How safe is Vilvoorde? How are the schools there?

Relalivly safe but you will have crime where ever you go, its not like rural areas. Schools operate within the Flemish community system, meaning the primary language of instruction is Dutch. Children moving from abroad or non-Dutch backgrounds will typically need language-immersion support (negenertalige or integration classes) offered locally.
