(English speaking) doctor in Can Tho.

Hey expaters, we're currently enjoying the beautiful city of can tho. Im getting a bit worried about some pain and swelling around my groin/leg area and am thinking i might need to get it looked at. Having trouble locating a doctor or someone who can help us find one,can anyone here point us in the right direction? Were right in the city area. Thanks!

My wife and I have been using this hospital for a number of years. They have limited English speaking Doctors on the staff, but they can get the job done. If you can get a hold of Doc Hau he would be your best bet. He was trained in the USA and is Viet-Kieu. One note if your not aware of it strictly cash, but they do have a few ATMs on site.

It's located a bit outside of Can Tho City, about 4ks down the street from the BIG "C" market.
Thank you very much for your advice. We've been over and have to go back at 2pm to see a doctor who can help us. Now just hope it's nothing too serious :-|
jmac79 Hope everything is ok. Glad I could help.

Phew, your tip was very helpful in the end! Went along and saw a doctor and ended up staying for 11 nights with a nasty case of cellulitis. We meandered through as best we could, the staff were actually very accommodating given the communication difficulties. Im pretty sure i was something of a western oddity, given the number of docs and nurses who popped by to prod my leg, and i provided much humour all round it appears! Hah. Thanks again for your help.

Sounds like it can be serious.
