Single guy in the philippines where to go?
I miss how frequent i would go to either of those establishments nearly every week for lunch, dinner, or just a coffee. Alas, the pandemic has really changed the vibrancy and energy of that area and just in recent months getting back on its feet again. Now i am lucky if ever i am in that area once a month.
Alchemy Bar and The Filling Station are by far, two of the best offerings in that area.

Ah yup. The decor environment is like no other of any restaurant i've ever been to in Manila. It's truly one of a kind. love the vintage 50's/60's vibe there. My favorite from the menu is the grilled chicken pesto sandwich steak sandwich with rustic potato wedges. they've got great shakes too. Oh, and who can't appreciate the uniform of the waitresses. incredibly adorable. and very accommodating when it isn't too busy.
Alchemy Bistro is a fine place just as well with the darker-themed ambiance. my favorite there would be the steak sandwich with sweet potato wedges.
If you're a burger guy like me though, i'd recommend Raging Bull Burgers in BGC. best i've ever had. its definitely my go to for a great Burger.
Btw it doesn't matter what kind of girl it is or where she's located. If you're out of money you will be out of girls. It should be a symbiotic relationship as opposed to a parasitic relationship. No matter what, men are always expected to generate the income. Have fun!!!!- @thedfords

I suppouse a factor is I treat them with respect undepending of which status they have. Some have kept contact many years even after I have told them we cant suit as a couple, so I suppouse they like to talk with me WITHOUT geting any money nor things. (But to tell the truth some fewer "in queue" since I passed 60yo, but many say "Age is just a number". Even a 10yo daughter asked me to marry her a bit over 30yo mother...)
True. No money, no honey- @Lotus Eater

Not odd if they dont want to be the provider to the man too - although many Filipinas are.Not odd the good ones too want enough to not need to worry about affording the basics, but there are many who arent that bad as many say - I claim it depend of many men are bad at chosing woman, "thinking with wrong head"Although I dress as a poor (thai style) farmer mostly and have spend almost nothing at women, I have queue anywaySome of them are even from rather rich (upper middle class) families. E g in one they had spenmd a half million in a Filipino-Filipino marriage! (Which I would have used as argument if they would have asked me to pay all support

Most of them have NEVER asked me for anything costing money. Some are proud so they prefer to struggle trying to manage themselves before asking for assistance. E g one kicked out the (Filipino) father of her daughter, was broke but with just a business idea and determination she managed to start a profitable production business. Instead of asking me she took a 5-6 loan to get money to raw material to get possibility to start. Before that she had made a sample and had got order even before she had any to sellShe managed to make deal with a tailor to use his machine at hours he didnt, and after a few months she had even reached started saving, thinking of geting a second machine and employ! (The only she asked me for was some advice about how/where to exband to more than she had done by herself. (I adviced her to NOT sell to any more retailer in same city than the one who bought all her production so far allready, but get retailers in some other cities.)
An other is from a middle class family, who own the main store and around half of the farmlanmd around the village. She had some assets from savings from office employment and had started a small business as extra income by herself, but called me and was sad and told she had lost similar to 3 months earning by customers hadnt paid for what they had got and had disapeared. She was allready good at finding opportunities, but bad at judging risks. I just asked her a question to give her hint how to think how to judge which customers are to risky - which she answered correct and understood my point - plus a gave her a hint of which customer types to chose instead. Since then her side income business improved so much so she quit her employment and she earned enough by working only 2 - 4 days per month plus when she looked for new projects! Once she talked with me at Tuesday being at one island visiting some friends, told she would be home Wednesday at an other island to work. Sunday she called. Then she had been at as third island (where she is from originaly) and told she had bought an orchard and had got it financed by bank löan allready! She had agreement allready with a relative - with experience of such - to split profit 50-50. She had figuered out in 10 years she would own that fully without paying anything by all financedf by the income.) (Then Covid screwed up some of her other projects by they were retail.) She has foreign boyfriend but if my injury get solved and she get to tired of he go on not asking her to marry him, then I will ask herSo there are good ones too...
@Enzyte Bob no money no honey .The most honest thing a woman ever said that applies to woman world wide- @mahi948
It amazes me, a man like coach53 can write volumes and volumes of verbiage all to do about nothing. He has made over 1,000 posts and I can't recall if he has ever been an original poster on anything useful for this forum.- @Enzyte Bob
to use the useful info I have told e g about e g law things about real estate and business.May I suggest a lobotomy? There are some excellent brain surgeons in Sweden. At least it would put the guy out of his misery.- @Lotus Eater

to year interest of common loans.@Enzyte Bob no money no honey .The most honest thing a woman ever said that applies to woman world wide- @mahi948You're right, the first thing Eve said to Adam.- @Enzyte Bob
@coach53 my wife would quote that prhase and laugh .

It's been around a long time and coined by a woman .It's natural for woman to want a man to have a income to provide and when the money runs out and looks bad for the future many will bail .Just a fact of life it seems .There is a guy here on this island (forienger) who our friend found wondering around homeless ..he apparently ran out of money at his older resort and his long long time wife kicked him out .Woman can flip that " I love you switch" faster than a lighting strike.Woman are emotionaly the same every where but with different cultures im my opinion .It's always a buyer beware situation when it comes to money .- @mahi948

Yes! there are a few things worth seeing...such as Food tripping in Old Chinatown in Binondo (regarded as the oldest ChinaTown in the world!), and the Philippine National Museum..and then are more commercial attractions such as the boardwalk down by MOA, or, if you really want to see it, the horrible eyesore that is the Dolomite beach down by the Bay...yuck.
Certainly the Intramuros would be worth seeing - The Historic walled City.

Also, Okada Hotel offers some lovely attractions and accommodations you can visit. the Hotel itself is quite the marvel.
a stay for 2-3 days would definitely be ample time for you to see what much of the city has to offer. i'm not sure of any organized tours for modern Manila though, I would think for other worthy locations within Old Manila there should be ( i took a tour of Intramuros back in 2013 actually - it was quite nice).
coach53 where would a single guy go for a good time in Sweden?
coach53 where would a single guy go for a good time in Sweden?(1) Ikea(2) Swedish meatball buffet?(3) Reindeer petting zoo?- @Enzyte Bob

- married Yvonne Ryding, who became Miss Uniiverse back when Swedish beauties bothered about it. During the 1990-ties Miss Sweden became a parody by most Swedish beauties found beauty contests silly and skiped participating, so some years it was wonn by Swedish women looking BELOW Swedish average, before it closed... (Later a swimsuit company tried to restart it but few Swedes bother about it.)coach53 where would a single guy go for a good time in Sweden?(1) Ikea(2) Swedish meatball buffet?(3) Reindeer petting zoo?- @Enzyte Bob
@coach53“Dont you know Sweden is famous for beautiful women? So no need to go anywhere special...”Yeah but they’re all trouser wearing feminist lefties with about as much attraction as a toc h lamp.- @Lotus Eater
which decide who they send to the games, to let the sport she coached go inspite of not fullfil the harder criterias that committe have than the competition organicers. She was extreem feminist but fair in difference from the feminists, who want to get equality about parts women have disadvantage but keep the advantages women have. So she was so extreem so she didnt accept I bought her a soda when I bought one to myself - until I reminded her I had finnished the bread loaf she had planned to have for breakfast

and let me come for an interview. Then I had prepared how to speak how journalists like interviewed speak, so I said several "Headliners". After that THEY asked me to come to new interviews now and then... It was then I started saying controversial things people "love or hate". Before that I had only "spoke" by results. There was a star club in that city allready. They wondered how come our low league club got much more attention than them in media "In any case why would they be interested in a boring old fart like you."

Where did you spend the $10 prize when you came in second place in a beauty contest?
- @Enzyte Bob
Havent you red Swedes dont bother about beauty contests?
Where did you spend the $10 prize when you came in second place in a beauty contest?
- @Enzyte BobNot claims. Facts.Havent you red Swedes dont bother about beauty contests?
So of course I have never compeeted in any beauty contest, not even visited any because I am against such superficial. Its risk that can be a conflict if I get kids in Phils, because I dont want kids to be in such crap. But as kid I got asked to be a photo model, because of my patience. I did the booring mass catalogs photografing and such, while my sister got the posh jobs- @coach53
